The Coop de l'Arrière-Pays aims to actively participate in the sustainability and harmonious development of the region's trail network. It promotes the development of trail areas that prioritizes user safety, quality of experience, conservation of wildlife, flora, habitats, landscapes, cultural heritage, and the environment, while respecting other users of the territory.
Trail managers, you can therefore count on the Coop de l'Arrière-Pays for expertise, design, development and maintenance of trail networks in the territory.
The Coop de l'Arrière-Pays has visionary specialists (technical, emotional and design), certified and competent planners and specialized equipment for the development of sustainable, safe, signposted, marked and maintained trails in compliance with the carrying capacity of the receiving environment, the standards and criteria of Rando Québec (Quebec Federation of Walking) and the laws and regulations in force.

EXPERTISE, CONSULTING AND SUPPORT - OUTDOOR TRAILS AND STRUCTURES

The services offered by CAP include:

  • Feasibility analysis of trail network projects;
  • The development of planning schemes;
  • The development of trails according to Rando Québec standards (width, incline, type of surface, stability, drainage and slope, emergency exit points) and related structures (lookouts, shelters, bridges, culverts, footbridges, etc.), signage and markers;
  • The verification and maintenance of existing network and portage trails and infrastructure (pruning, clearing and redevelopment).
EXPERTISE, CONSULTING AND SUPPORT - OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT FLEET

The Coop de l'Arrière-Pays offers an expert consulting service for municipalities, clubs, associations, organizations and schools wishing to acquire and manage a fleet of specialized outdoor equipment.
The services offered by CAP include:

  • Analysis and recommendations for the acquisition of specialized equipment
  • Assembly of equipment, when required
  • Developing a maintenance program including maintenance costs
  • Annual equipment maintenance
  • Training of designated equipment attendants

OUTDOOR TRAILS AND STRUCTURES

Outdoor enthusiasts have a strong preference for routes offering safe, well-marked, and properly maintained trails. Trail creation requires significant financial resources and considerable time investment. Surrounding oneself with competent people to successfully complete and ensure the viability of such projects is essential. The development and maintenance of durable and safe trails that resist soil erosion from surface water, respect the physical environment, and meet the needs of the target audience requires specialized knowledge.
